Andromeda is a brand created by college student Giovanni Miagany and high school student Dante Medina, in association with the great ANDROMEDA themself. (Gio is pictured on the left, Dante is pictured on the right, and ANDROMEDA is depicted in the middle) This is a joint-family made company with the goal of creating really cool designs, all in the pursuit of a greater purpose.
Andromeda is a platform that we hope will one day work as the launch pad for a better world. In less grandiose terms, our main goal in doing all of this is to promote activism and diversity in all of its forms. While our main function and avenue for monetization may be through our designs, what we truly want is much bigger than that. We want Andromeda to be less of a brand and more of an idea, that idea being the fight for a better world. We will accomplish this by emphasizing our philosophy, which focuses on everything from human rights, to environmentalism, to mental health, to the meaning of life, and even questions of our universe. By doing this, we want to become an idea synonymous with these beliefs.
We are seriously exhausted by non-partisanship in the corporate world, the world that so predominantly runs our lives. More specifically, inactivity from corporate conglomerates with huge amounts of social and economic influence, to fight towards causes that actively better our world. Because of this we will never be afraid of promoting what we feel is right. In a world where any brand masquerading as benevolent can simply change their branding in support of a cause for a month or so, all as a quick marketing stunt, we want to be the brand that is directly associated with these same causes and be the first choice when actively fighting for them. Or on the other end of the spectrum, when companies are blatantly and unapologetically funding a group or political party that actively promotes some form of hatred, discrimination, or prejudice, we want to be associated with the exact opposite idea, and fund groups that fight for diversity 100%. We will associate our image as one that will fight for all forms of issues, regardless of how ‘taboo’ they may seem. We will encourage an all inclusive uplifting of every group, regardless of age, race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, status, and everything in between. We will be fighting for these causes all while creating really cool designs under the idea of ‘Andromeda’, the idea that will directly reflect these progressive notions.
When you buy an Andromeda item, we want that purchase to be personally satisfying and more than just the superficial idea of buying an Andromeda branded item. When you wear one of our pieces of clothing, we want our image to be directly associated with that of the fight for a better world, always. When someone out in public happens to notice a pyramid dude on your sweater, or our pyramid eye logo on the side of your shirt, we want them to know that you too fight for everything we stand for. When you buy any of our products we want you to know that you are with us in supporting the same fight. We also want each item of clothing to be of amazing quality, so we will try not to cheap out on our products getting started. There are also special reasons to buy listed in our plans below!
Once we are able to get to the point where we can safely facilitate the costs of production, distribution, and have a steady framework for the general functioning of our company, we would like to branch out and do a lot of good. Eventually, we plan on donating a good percentage of our proceeds to different charities and activist movements. We will be vocal about the charities and percentage, so that when you buy any of our products you are also aware that you are actively funding the bettering of our world. This is our promise. We also plan on branching out into different forms of apparel like hoodies, shoes, hats, figures, etc. In addition, we would like to hold social gatherings within local areas, when starting off, in support of a certain cause, but when we become bigger, we can start creating even bigger movements. We also plan in general to be vocal about all of these ideas, lifting people up, and simply create a great community of progressive individuals within our various social media. We have huge plans for a grand future, and with a company whose main purpose is to only do good, once we take off, there is not telling what we can accomplish. Maybe an actual store, or a fast food chain restaurant, or a cartoon, or a theme park, the sky is literally the limit... until we find a way to make an Andromeda space station.
From the start, we knew that we wanted to be incredibly transparent in everything that we do, that is why our entire blueprint has been laid out so openly here. We will attempt to be very open for communication and very much open to audience feedback, all while engaging with the audience ourselves. We don't want to be another company that conducts themselves through carefully constructed, PR tested corporation speak, and we definitely don't want to pander and play a façade in any way. We seriously just want to be ourselves, and even more seriously want to be a great and genuine company that sets the standard for a truly good one. We want to paint a picture for how the world could be, and lift up a positive community with undying social agency in the process. There will never be strings attached and no matter how big we become we will always be Andromeda.
The designs that we will create will act as the lifeblood for our entire operation. While the activist side of Andromeda will lend itself to all forms of social media and public perception, the designs will be mostly free of any that. Sometimes, the designs may follow our established storylines while other times, they will be whatever we want, free of creative limitations, and a great chance to express ourselves anyway we feel. And while we want to stay brand consistent, not every product will follow the aesthetic themes that dominate our image ex: (Red, yellow, and blue ribbon). Essentially, most designs will try to be unique in its style and subject matter (explicit or not). Occasionally we might have some products that directly tie to a certain cause such as LGBTQ+, but in general we want to make whatever we want, and the overarching idea of Andromeda will always follow.
